Everything about our down, the ladder, and living with a duvet that’s built to last. Can’t find it here? We’re a message away.

What fabrics are used in Aura duvets?

Every duvet uses tightly woven, down-proof 100% cotton, certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, filled with ethically sourced Hungarian down. Thread counts run from a low-noise 230 TC up to silk-like 380 TC depending on the line.

What’s the difference between the Essentials and Excellence lines?

Essentials is our accessible everyday duvet at 70% Hungarian down. Excellence is the pinnacle of the ladder — 100% Hungarian goose down, the highest thread-count shell and champagne-gold satin piping.

Are your duvets suitable for allergy sufferers?

Yes. Most of our duvets are NOMITE certified, making them suitable for people with house-dust-mite allergies, and the down-proof cotton shell keeps the fill securely contained.

What sizes do your duvets come in?

Standard sizes are 135×200, 155×200, 200×200 and 260×235 cm. We also accommodate custom-size requests — just get in touch.

How do I choose the right warmth level?

Light suits warm bedrooms and summer, All-season is the year-round choice, and Warm is for cold rooms and winter. Each duvet tier is offered across these levels; box-stitched and baffle-box constructions further tune the warmth.

Is the down in your products certified?

Yes. Our down is certified by HDTS (the Hungarian Down Traceability System) and the SafeDown system, guaranteeing genuine Hungarian origin, animal welfare and strict hygiene standards.

What is fill power?

Fill power measures loft — how many cubic inches one ounce of down occupies. Higher fill power means more warmth for less weight. It varies by line, with the exact figure shown on each product page.

What does the box-stitched design mean?

Box-stitching divides the duvet into sewn chambers that distribute the down evenly and stop it shifting, keeping warmth consistent. The number of cassettes also helps define the warmth level.

How should I wash my down product?

Use a large-capacity machine with a mild detergent on a gentle cycle, then tumble-dry on low heat with dryer balls to re-fluff the down. Full guidance lives on our Care page.

Can I wash baby and junior pillows?

Yes, they are machine washable. Follow the specific care instructions on the label to maintain their quality and longevity.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 60-day return period. If you’re not satisfied, you can return your purchase for a replacement or a full refund.

Where do you source your down?

Ethically and locally, from Hungarian farms — traceable to origin through HDTS, and never from force-fed or live-plucked birds.

What tog rating do Aura warmth levels correspond to?

We grade warmth as Light, All-season and Warm rather than tog. As a rough guide, Light sits around 3–4.5 tog, All-season around 9–10.5 tog and Warm around 12–13.5 tog. If your bedroom is well heated or you sleep hot, choose one level lighter.

What is the difference between a duvet and a comforter?

They are essentially the same thing. “Duvet” is the usual term in Europe and the UK, while “comforter” is common in North America. Aura duvets are made to be used inside a washable duvet cover — the standard European way — with corner hooks to keep the cover in place.

Why is Hungarian goose down considered the best?

Hungary’s long goose-breeding tradition and continental climate produce large, mature down clusters with exceptional loft, so Hungarian goose down delivers more warmth for less weight than most fillings. Paired with HDTS traceability and strict welfare standards, it is the benchmark for premium down.
